CalmPaw
Your information, in context

Privacy policy.

Your pet’s journal belongs in your hands. Here is how the app, this website, and support handle information.

Effective date: October 15, 2026 · Applies to CalmPaw for iPhone and iPad

1. Your care records

CalmPaw is a pet-care journal, not a diagnostic or treatment service. It stores the information you enter: pet profiles, medication and prescription versions, schedules, administration events, inventory, glucose readings and curves, episodes, weight, breathing observations, laboratory results, food notes, other notes, and selected photos.

Records are stored locally on your device. Your chosen caregiver name and record authorship may be saved with entries. Changing your display name does not rewrite historical entries. The app does not upload your journal to a developer-operated website or analytics server.

The current app contains no advertising, cross-app tracking SDK, or developer-operated analytics service. It does not access your address book, continuously read a glucose sensor, or send journal content to an AI service.

2. Optional iCloud sharing

If you choose to share a pet’s journal, CalmPaw uses Apple’s CloudKit service to upload that journal and its included photos. Caregivers authorized through the owner’s iCloud invitation can access it according to the permissions set by the owner. An Apple Account signed into iCloud is required for this feature, not for keeping a local journal.

Your iCloud-provided name, chosen caregiver name, account/contact information provided by Apple for sharing, and record authorship may be visible to participants. These details support invitation management and identifying who recorded care. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy practices.

The owner can manage recipients and permissions in Care team & sharing. Leaving or stopping sharing does not erase records that another caregiver already downloaded or exported. Local records are retained when sharing is unavailable. Device or iCloud backups may also contain app files according to your Apple backup settings; these are separate from journal sharing.

3. Photos, imports, exports, and backups

You choose photos using Apple’s photo picker. Imports, exports, reports, and complete journal backups use system file and sharing controls. A report or backup can contain the selected pet’s complete records and photos. A complete journal backup has a 50 MB app limit.

You decide where to save files and whom to send them to, including a veterinarian. Exported copies are outside the app’s control; remove unwanted copies from their destination separately. We do not automatically send reports to your veterinarian.

4. Notifications and Home Screen widgets

Local reminders may show pet names, medication information, or sampling details on your Lock Screen. You control notification permission, previews, and delivery settings in iOS. Device settings, Focus, and system scheduling can affect delivery.

Optional Home Screen widgets read an app-prepared snapshot in a protected App Group shared with the CalmPaw widget extension. Details may be visible to anyone who can see your Home Screen. Turn off “Show pet & medication details” in widget settings to replace them with an open-journal prompt after the system refreshes the widget. Apple controls refresh timing.

5. Apple subscriptions

Apple processes payments and manages purchase information. CalmPaw checks verified StoreKit transactions to determine subscription access; it does not receive payment-card details. Monthly and yearly plans can offer a seven-day introductory trial to eligible Apple Accounts. Your price and trial eligibility are shown by the App Store before purchase confirmation.

Manage or cancel renewal in Apple’s subscription settings. When subscription access ends, existing records, export and backups, existing reminders, sharing management, and the emergency timer remain accessible. Subscription cancellation does not delete your journal.

6. This website and support email

This website provides information and contact links. It has no account form, advertising, analytics script, or journal-upload feature. Cloudflare hosts it and may process standard network information such as IP addresses, request headers, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Hosting-provider processing is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not use this traffic for cross-site advertising.

If you email fixdock@outlook.com, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot, and handle privacy requests. Microsoft operates the Outlook email service under its privacy statement.

Please send only what is necessary. Do not include passwords, payment-card information, iCloud invitation links, or complete health records unless needed and specifically requested. Remove personal details from screenshots where possible.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

Local journals remain on your device until you remove them or the app’s files. Archiving a pet retains its records; it is not deletion. Export or back up important records first. Use Pets & profiles and the app’s data-management controls to manage local records. Complete backup and restore are available without an active subscription.

Manage iCloud sharing separately before deleting a local journal. Local deletion does not revoke a recipient’s access or erase an existing cloud or exported copy. You can ask support for help locating the appropriate Apple or app controls. We cannot delete files in someone else’s device, email, or storage account on your behalf.

Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain necessary support records. You may request deletion of correspondence we hold; information required for legal obligations or unresolved disputes may need to be retained. Apple, Microsoft, and Cloudflare control retention in their services under their own policies.

You can withdraw optional sharing by managing access, disable notification permission in iOS, hide widget details, and stop sending optional support information. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions, contact us below. Changing the app’s Bundle ID creates a separate installation: keep the previous app and backups until any transfer is verified.

8. Contact and policy updates

For CalmPaw app support or privacy requests, contact fixdock@outlook.com. This is the contact point for the app developer. Please identify the request without attaching unnecessary private records.

CalmPaw is not designed as a service for children to submit personal information. If personal information was sent unintentionally, contact us so we can help address it. The app is for pet-care recordkeeping; your veterinarian decides treatment.

We update this page when data practices change and revise the effective date. App Store privacy disclosures should reflect the version being distributed. Links to third-party websites take you to services with their own policies.

For an urgent pet-health concern, contact your veterinarian or emergency veterinary service. App support cannot provide medical advice.
